COPART // Texas Catastrophe Response 2016
I helped weave a narrative through this docu-short about Copart’s response to Texas flooding in 2016.
After working with Content Co-Op on their BP series, the agency contacted me with a unique opportunity: find a narrative that could be told via documentary style footage about the Copart Catastrophe team that mobilized in the wake of the 2016 Texas floods. As a copy-writer and co-creative director I spoke in depth with the brand liaison at Copart and the rep they selected for the short. After speaking with him for less than ten minutes it became clear that the story should be driven by the tenacity, skill, and caliber of the men and women who make up the Copart team. I drafted up a script that Content Co-Op’s nimble skeleton crew used as the docu-short’s spine as they collected interviews and footage in Houston.
