BP OIL // STEM EDUCATION “SCIENCE OF SPORTS”
I was hired by Content Co-Op to develop a web-campaign for BP that displayed the importance of STEM Education in the classroom and athletics.
Doubling down on their investment with the STEM Education initiative, BP was aiming to show their public support for students in athletes by creating a viral campaign that inspired students to both get active and hit the books. Instead of spewing facts and numbers, Content Co-Op approached me with the mission of creating separate vignettes tied to specific sports that would leave a narrative impact. As a massive sports fan I saw the challenge in marrying science and story to sports as exhilarating. Both BP and Content Co-Op were incredibly collaborative and trusting in creating this campaign. They allowed me to push the narrative in hyper-personal ways and create some touching stories that allowed lot of room for interesting visual choices — both in location and shot design.
