Confounding Love

There’s an iceberg of depth, dreams, and damage behind the peak of external vulnerability we get to share with everyone. It’s this hidden chunk that makes people life’s treasure. Both simultaneously fascinating and frustrating, and what makes love life’s most confounding mystery. Because to do that, to love someone, to really accept someone for better or worse, to give them the unconditional benefit of the doubt, lover or friend, means you accept all that stuff you can’t see.

It takes faith. Tremendous faith.
